FIRST AID: HEALING HONEY

HEALING HONEY

Legend has it that the ancient Egyptians used honey to heal their wounds. Today, research shows they were onto something.

The Crane Collaboration, an organization that evaluates medical research, recently reviewed 19 studies of honey's effect on wounds and found that smearing it on a burn can speed healing by four days.

This may be due to the fact that honey contains hydrogen peroxide, which helps kill off infectious bacteria.

So purchase some honey and add to your first aid kits.

Brighter Wider Eyes: Without Plastic Surgery

Brighter, Wider Eyes: Without Plastic Surgery, Skin Tightening and other Nonsense:

1. Apply one thin coat of mascara to both upper and lower lashes.

Ms. Danyelle I want a more DRAMATIC LOOK? For a more dramatic look, allow first coat to dry completely then apply a second coat concentrating on the base of the lash.

B. (see image) You can use a white eye liner, to line your inner eye/water line. Make sure you use a product that is water proof and is designed to be used in this area.

Quick Eye Tip: For a real eye-opener, use an eyelash curler before applying mascara.

Curl gently at the base of the lashes, but never beyond the center of the lashes. Don't clamp down on one spot for too long or you'll get a sharp angle.

Sanitation Is Key Tip: Don't pump the applicator wand in the mascara tube.
STOP IT.. STOP IT.. Even I've seen "so-called" professional make-up artists do this.

Doing so will trap air inside, cause the mascara to dry out and create bacteria.

Instead, twist the wand to collect more mascara on the brush. If your doing make-up on a client, friend or family memeber use a different mascara product and a wand. NEVER DOUBLE DIP with the same wand, no matter if it's the same person. Eye infections are NASTY LITTLE DEVILS and I don't want you to get one.

MD NOTE: That's why attending make-up artistry courses are IMPORTANT when it comes to MAKE-UP sanitation standards.

WAXING YOUR BROWS: PRECAUTION!!!

A woman (Her Name Will Remain Unknown) called in to Ms. Danyelle Radio (www.blogtalkradio.com/msdanyelle) She told me and my listernes this heart felt horror story about her Brows & Lips.

Mrs. X said that one day her co-worker came in and her eyebrows were looking wonderful, neat and fabolous. Mrs. X asked her co-worker where did she go to get her brows done.

The lady told her "King Nails" (The City & State is Unknown) and that she should go because they are really good.

Mrs. X went and proceeded to have her eyebrows and lip waxed.

Two weeks later Mrs. X realized that her lip and eyebrows were breaking out with puss filled bumps all over!

Mrs. X went to the doctor's office and they sadly informed her that she had Herpes.

Mrs. X, a married woman who stated that she had never cheated on her husband was wondering how she could possibly get herpes not only on her lips but on her eyebrows as well?

TAKE NOTICE:

Ladies and Gentleman, if you ever take the time to notice, they never use a new stick. The same stick stays in that wax and if someone has Herpes those bacteria are now also on the stick and in the wax. The bacteria fester and grow in the hot wax.

So Ladies and Gentleman, this would be a great time to invest in your own tweezers, brow sticks and sharpen your skills. You can also find a place or salon that provides threading technique and also ask each time for a new stick or bring your own.

Stay Safe BabyDolls,

Love Ya
